About Me
Hi! My name is Jeffrey Quicken and I am a master student Computer Science at KU Leuven. By participating in this study, you are contributing to my master's thesis.
If you encounter any problems or have questions during or after this study, you can contact met at: jeffrey.quicken@student.kuleuven.be

About the research
For my master's thesis, I created Watty. Watty is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) for predicting and explaining the price of energy in Belgium. With Watty, I want to research some concepts in the field of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI).
Explainable AI (XAI) is a field in machine learning research that aims to explain the reasoning and decision making in AI algorithms. It tries to answer questions like:
- Why did the AI system make a specific prediction or decision?
- Why didn’t the AI system do something else?
If you participate in this study, you will have to complete some tasks in Watty's user interface and fill in a survey with questions about your experience with Watty.
During the study, some data will be collected: the time you spend in the interface, the interactions you have with the interface and the answers you give to the survey questions.
At no point during the study will any personally identifiable data be stored.
Click here if you want more information about how we use the collected data.
